Amar Patente Support

Last updated 13 August 2026 Applies to Amar Patente 1.3.0 · GMF IT CENTER

How to reach us

Amar Patente is made by GMF IT CENTER. One small team answers everything: the app, the books and the live course.

  • Email: [email protected] — best for anything about your account, your progress or your data.
  • WhatsApp: +39 327 393 7479 — best for the live course and for quick questions.
  • In the app: open Home, tap the menu button at the top left, and use the WhatsApp or Send Email buttons in the sidebar. The same sidebar has Support, FAQ, Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Write in Bengali, English or Italian. All three are fine.

The buttons inside the app and on our website still open older contacts: the Email button opens [email protected], and some pages show a different WhatsApp number. We are making them all match. Until then, the address and the two numbers on this page are the ones we watch every day.

We never ask for your password. Nobody from Amar Patente will ever ask you for it, by email, by WhatsApp or in the app. If someone does, it is not us.

What to put in your message

Most slow support threads are slow because the first message is missing one small detail. Please include all of this, and we can usually answer on the first reply.

  • App version. Android: Settings → Apps → Amar Patente, then scroll to the bottom. iPhone: the App Store listing shows the current version. If you are not sure, write "latest from the App Store" and tell us roughly when you last updated. The app does not show its own version yet, sorry.
  • Device and system: for example "Samsung A15, Android 14" or "iPhone 12, iOS 18". If you use the website instead of the app, tell us the browser and whether you are on a phone or a computer.
  • The language you use in the app: Bengali, English, Italian, Hindi or Arabic.
  • Signed in, or guest? If you are signed in, give us the email address on the account. If you are a guest, say so — it changes the answer completely.
  • What you did, step by step: "Home → Study chapter → chapter 3 → tapped the sound button."
  • What happened, and what you expected instead. Copy the exact error text if there is one.
  • A screenshot, or a short screen recording if the problem moves. A photo of the screen taken with another phone is also fine.
  • Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both? Tell us if it happens on only one of them.

A useful subject line looks like this: "Amar Patente — audio not working — Samsung A15". If your message is about an account, add the account email to the subject.

Never send us your password, and never send a photo of a document unless we have asked for it. The app does not need either.

When to expect a reply

We are a small team, not a call centre. Expect a first reply within a few working days. Weekends and Italian public holidays are slower. For the live course, WhatsApp is faster than email. We answer in the order messages arrive, so sending the same question three times does not move it up — but if a week passes with no answer, send it again and add "second request" to the subject. Emails do get lost.

I forgot my password

There is no "forgot password" link, and the app sends no email at all — no reset mail, no confirmation mail, no verification mail. If the password is gone, you cannot sign back into that account from inside the app.

What you can do:

  • Look in your phone's saved passwords first. Android: Google Password Manager. iPhone: Settings → Passwords. Many people saved it there without noticing.
  • Check whether you are still signed in on another phone or tablet. If you are, open the Profile screen and use Change password. It asks for the current password, so this only helps if you can still find it somewhere.
  • If it is truly lost, email [email protected], if possible from the same address the account uses. Tell us what you want: the account removed, or a new password set. We do it by hand on the server.

Because the app never sends or checks email, we cannot match you against a confirmation message. Expect us to ask a few questions about the account first — roughly when you created it, which chapters you had finished, which language you study in — before we change or delete anything. That check protects you as much as it slows you down.

Deleting an account inside the app also asks for the current password. So if you have lost it, you cannot delete the account yourself either. Email us instead.

In the meantime you can keep studying. Create a new account with a different email address, or carry on as a guest. Nothing in the app is locked behind an account.

I changed phone and my progress is missing

Progress follows the account, not the phone. If you never created an account, it does not travel.

If you had an account on the old phone: install the app on the new phone, open the Profile screen, and sign in with the same email and password. Your answered questions, your mistakes and your chapter statistics come back from the server. Do this before you study much on the new phone.

If you were a guest on the old phone: guest progress is filed under a random id that lives in that phone's app storage. Creating an account on the new phone will not pull it across. The fix, while the old phone still has the app installed:

  • Take the old phone.
  • Open the app, go to the Profile screen, and create an account (or sign in to one you already have).
  • Your guest progress is moved into that account at that moment.
  • Now sign in with the same account on the new phone.

The move from guest to account happens once per device. If you sign in, then sign out and keep studying as a guest on the same phone, that later progress stays under the guest id and will not move into the account on a second sign-in. The habit that avoids this: sign in once, and stay signed in.

Progress is only recorded while you are online. Questions and images are stored on your phone so you can read them offline, but answers you give with no connection are not saved anywhere. They will not appear in your statistics, your mistake review or your chapter progress, and the app does not warn you at the time. If you study on a train or in a basement, expect that session to be missing afterwards.

If the old phone is gone, was reset, or had the app's storage cleared, and you never signed in on it, that guest progress cannot be recovered. There is nothing that connects that random id to you or to your email address, so we cannot find it. If you did sign in on that phone at some point, it is different: we keep a record of which guest id that phone handed to your account, so write to us and we will look.

If you signed in and part of your progress is still missing, write to us with the account email, the old device model and roughly how many chapters you had finished. There is a case where the move fails quietly at sign-up, and we can check it from our side.

How to delete my account and everything in it

If you are signed in, you can do this yourself, in under a minute.

  • Open Home and tap the profile icon at the top right. That opens the Profile screen.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  • Type your current password to confirm.
  • Confirm once more in the dialog.

What this removes, immediately and permanently: your account row with your email address and password hash, every quiz answer and statistic recorded while you were signed in, your chapter statistics, your saved sign-in sessions on every device, your ebook unlocks, and the record linking your old guest id to the account. There is no grace period and no undo. We cannot restore it afterwards.

Three things it does not remove. We would rather tell you plainly than let you find out later.

  • Quiz answers that were never part of the account. Progress you made as a guest before you first signed in was moved into the account at that moment, so it is deleted with it. Anything you answered as a guest after signing out stays on our server under the random guest id, because deletion only reaches what is stored against the account. Those rows carry no email address and no name. Tell us if you want them gone too, and say it is a guest record.
  • Technical counters that store only a one-way hash, never readable text: the AI Teacher daily-question counter for your device, and the failed sign-in counters. Here is what a hash is and is not. The failed sign-in rows are built from the email address that was typed, so no readable address is stored — but somebody who already knew your address could check whether a row matches it. These rows hold no progress, no questions and no password, and nothing in them can be turned back into readable text.
  • Data still sitting on your own phone: your language choice, your ad-consent answer, the offline copy of the questions, the AI Teacher questions and answers cached for the last 7 days, the id your AI Teacher daily quota is counted against, any ebook you unlocked before you had an account, and the guest id. To clear those, delete the app, or clear its storage from your phone's settings (Android: Settings → Apps → Amar Patente → Storage → Clear data; iPhone: delete the app).

If you use the app as a guest

There is no delete button, because there is nothing tied to you that could prove the device is yours. Guest answers sit on our server under a random id.

  • If you have never signed in on that phone, an email from you does not tell us which id is yours. Clearing the app's storage or deleting the app removes the id from your phone, and what is left on the server carries no address and no name.
  • If you have signed in on that phone at any point, it is different. We keep a record of which guest id that phone handed to your account, so we can find it — and deleting your account removes that record too.

Treat that guest id as private if you ever see it. Our server currently accepts the id on its own to read back the study history filed under it, with no password. Do not share a device backup, a debug log or a support screenshot that contains it. Fixing that is our job, not yours, and it is on our list.

There is no data export feature yet. If you want a copy of what is stored against your account, ask by email and we will put it together by hand.

The app will not load content

The app downloads chapters, questions and images once, then keeps them on your phone for offline reading. The first launch after installing needs a working internet connection.

Try these in order:

  • Check that other apps can reach the internet. Then close Amar Patente completely (swipe it away from the recent apps list) and open it again.
  • Switch network. If you are on Wi-Fi, turn it off and use mobile data, or the other way round. Some home and office networks block our server.
  • Turn off any VPN, ad blocker or DNS filter, and try again.
  • Check that your phone's date and time are correct and set to automatic. A wrong clock breaks the secure connection, and the app looks stuck with no error.
  • Update the app from Google Play or the App Store.
  • Restart the phone.
  • Last resort: clear the app's storage, or uninstall and reinstall. Read the warning below first.

Before you clear storage or reinstall: if you are signed in, do nothing special — sign in again afterwards and your progress comes back from the server. If you are a guest, clearing storage erases the link to your progress for good, along with any ebook you unlocked by watching a video. Create an account and sign in first, then clear.

All of the app's own content comes from one address, admin.amarpatente.com, and a block on that address is the most common cause. The app also pulls its fonts from Google (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) each time it opens, so a network or filter that blocks Google can leave the app looking broken even when the questions themselves load fine.

If none of that helps, email us with a screenshot of the blank or stuck screen, your network type, and whether the same thing happens on another network.

Audio does not work

The read-aloud button hands the Italian text to your phone's own voice engine. The app does not record anything, never opens the microphone, and sends no audio anywhere. What happens to the text after we hand it over belongs to that engine — usually Google's on Android, Apple's on iPhone — and whether it speaks entirely offline or fetches the voice online is a setting on your phone, not ours.

If your phone has no Italian voice installed, nothing will be spoken and there will be no error message. That silence is the most common cause.

Check the obvious first:

  • Media volume up, not just ringer volume. Press volume up while a question is on screen.
  • iPhone: check the silent switch on the side, and Do Not Disturb or Focus.
  • Bluetooth: if headphones or a car radio are connected, the sound may be going there.

Then install the Italian voice:

  • Android: Settings → System → Languages & input → Text-to-speech output. Open the settings of the engine in use (usually Speech Recognition & Synthesis by Google), then Install voice data → Italiano (Italia).
  • iPhone: Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → Italian, and download an Italian voice.
  • Website in a browser: some browsers ship no Italian voice at all. Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone are the safest. On a computer, the voices come from the operating system.

After installing a voice, close the app fully and reopen it, so it can see the new voice. If audio still fails, tell us the phone model, the Android or iOS version, and which text-to-speech engine is selected in your settings.

Language, translations and reporting a mistake

The app runs in Bengali, English, Italian, Hindi and Arabic. To change it: open Home, tap the profile icon at the top right, find Language on the Profile screen, and pick your language. The change is immediate and is remembered.

Older FAQ text inside the app still says the language switcher lives in the Home header. It moved to the Profile screen. Sorry for the confusion.

One thing that surprises people: the Italian question text never changes. It is the exam wording and it must stay exactly as the exam writes it. Your language is used for the interface and for the translation shown underneath. If a translation is missing for a question, that translation has not been written yet — the app shows the Italian alone rather than a machine guess.

Reporting a wrong answer or a bad translation

Please do report these. Content corrections are the most useful mail we get, and they are fixed for everybody at once, without a new app update. There is no report button in the app yet, so send an email to [email protected] with:

  • A screenshot of the question. This alone identifies it for us.
  • The chapter you were in, and the language you were reading.
  • What is wrong: the Vero/Falso answer, the translation, the image, or the explanation.
  • What you believe the correct version is, and where you saw it — your autoscuola, a book, the ministerial quiz.

Put "content" in the subject line, for example "Amar Patente — content — chapter 5 wrong answer". Corrections are published to the server, so you will see the fix the next time your app opens that chapter with an internet connection.

AI Teacher

Where your AI Teacher question goes. What you type is sent to our server, and our server passes it on to Google's Gemini AI, together with the matching material from our own question database, so that an answer can be written. We do not send your email address, your account id or your device id with it, and we do not save the question text in our database — but the text itself does leave our server and reaches Google. Please do not type personal details, document numbers, or anything about your health or your immigration status. Ask about the exam, not about yourself.

  • "You have no questions left." There is a small free daily quota, which resets each day, and you can earn extra questions by watching a rewarded video. The quota is counted per device, not per account.
  • It keeps giving me the same answer. Identical questions are answered from a cache on your phone for about 7 days, so the reply is instant and costs you no quota. Rephrase the question to get a fresh answer.
  • Can you delete what I asked? We never had the text in our database, so there is nothing there to delete. The copy on your phone clears itself after about 7 days, and uninstalling the app removes it at once. What has already reached Google is governed by Google's own terms, and we cannot delete it there for you.

Ads, videos and ebook unlocks

  • No ads appear at all. If you refused the ad consent request, the app requests no AdMob ads — not a video, and not a non-personalised replacement either — and content that normally needs a video unlocks for free. That is intended: we will not hold study material back over a privacy choice.
  • I refused consent but I still see ads. If the app cannot reach Google's consent service, for example when you are offline, it reuses the last consent answer stored on your phone, including one that allowed personalised ads. If there is no stored answer to reuse, only non-personalised ads are requested.
  • The rewarded video failed and I got nothing. If an ad fails to load, fails to display, or you close it before the end, the reward is not given. That is how it works today, and it is not a mistake on your side. Close the app fully and try again on a better connection.
  • My unlocked ebook is locked again. Unlocks earned with a rewarded video last 7 days, then expire. Watch again for another 7 days. If you are signed in, unlocks follow your account to your other devices. If you unlock ebooks as a guest and then create an account on that phone, that list of unlocks is sent to our server so it follows the account.

One thing we would rather say plainly: the app's start-up page still loads Google's AdSense script every time it opens, whatever you answered on the consent screen, and even where no ad is ever shown. It displays nothing to you, but Google does see your IP address at start-up. We are moving that script behind the same consent answer as everything else.

Other account questions

  • I changed my email and now I cannot sign in. The app does not verify email addresses, so a typo is accepted silently and becomes your new sign-in name. Check for a missing letter or the wrong domain first. If you cannot work it out, write to us and tell us the address you had before, the address you meant to type, and roughly when you changed it. We cannot match you against a confirmation email, because the app never sends one, so expect us to ask a few questions about the account before we change anything.
  • I changed my password and my other phone signed out. That is intended. Changing the password ends every other session and keeps only the device you changed it on.
  • Do I need an account? No. Everything in the app works as a guest. An account exists so that your progress can follow you to another phone.

The books and the live course

Two paperbacks, Bengali and Italian side by side, sold on Amazon:

Orders, delivery, returns and refunds are handled entirely by Amazon, not by us. For a late or damaged parcel, contact Amazon through your order page — we have no access to it. Write to us about a book only if the content is wrong: a printing error, a mistranslation, a page in the wrong order. Tell us the book, the page number and, if you can, send a photo.

The live course

A complete Patente B theory course, taught live with a teacher, in Bengali.

  • Price: €30 for the whole course.
  • Live classes: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 22:00 – 23:30, Italian time.
  • Recordings of the classes, so a missed evening is not a lost one.
  • WhatsApp support during the course.

To join, message us on WhatsApp: +39 327 393 7479. Say "corso" and the language you prefer, and we will send you the joining details and the next start date. Course questions — payment, timetable, missed classes, recordings — are best asked on WhatsApp rather than by email.

One last thing: what we are not

Amar Patente is an educational service. It is not a government office, not an autoscuola, and not connected to the Italian authorities in any way. We help you study the theory; we cannot book anything for you.

For the parts that are official — booking the theory exam, the medical certificate, documents, deadlines, fees and the foglio rosa — check with your autoscuola, your local Motorizzazione Civile office, or the Ministry's own portal, il Portale dell'Automobilista (ilportaledellautomobilista.it). Rules and fees change, and the official source is the one that counts.

If you are unsure whether a question is for us or for them, ask us anyway. If it is not ours, we will tell you where to go.
